Done using Mixmiester on my Macbook it's taken about 8 hours to put 22 minutes together (hence the reason it isn't an 80 minute mix!!)


105 classic tunes from 1993 including the likes of Ratty, Tango, DJ SS, DJ Hype, DJ Seduction, DJ Sy, Wax Doctor, Jack Smooth from labels Basement, Formation, SMD, and many more.

15 Years Of DJ Simm (15 Years Of Drum & Bass)

So here it is. Loads of planning, changing tunes at the last minute and eventually done in one take!


Back in 1996 I got my first pair of turntables and today in 2012 the only constant in these 15 years has been Drum & Bass. From day 1 of DJ'ing it's the only form of music I still love & play.


I decided to celebrate these 15 years with a D&B mix from 1996 right up to 2011. Choosing 2 tracks from each year has taken ages to plan what with the wealth of music I'm working from. I'm sure the selection will cause some debate but these tunes all have personal meaning so they were chosen specifically.

In and around the turn of the century a sound in the D&B community was growing and nobody had heard anything like it before. From around 1997/98 to 2002 people like Ed Rush & Optical, Bad Company, Andy C (& the Ram Crew) & DJ Trace to name a few were pushing these really dark experimental sounds.
